EEME

In school we've been learning about energy-> then electricity-> and now electronics.  It's been fun, but up until now we have just been using lots of library books and print outs from online.  Last week I saw that our friends at Shivering Stars farm were also studying electronics and she had shared on Facebook that they subscribe to a monthly electronics project called "EEME".  That evening Brandon and I looked into it and decided it would be great hands on fun for the kids as they learn about electricity, electrons, electronics, electromagnetism, and so on!

We subscribed that evening and have already received our first project.  At the beginning of each month we will receive by mail all of the parts needed to complete a new electronic project...or add on to the previous month's project.  The best part is that all of the instructional videos are on their website for free!  No prior knowledge needed, they not only teach the kids how to put the project together, but more importantly why and how it works the way it does.

So, today we made our first project. It was a pretty simple circuit that made a little LED bulb light up.  Tomorrow in school we will go through more of the videos for this month's learning.  We are all really liking this already!

Note to other Homeschool moms.... if you are interested in something like this for your kiddos, be sure to let me know before subscribing and I can give you a promo code to save $ on your first month!!!

You can also get the discount by using this link if you decide to subscribe.
