In the Back Woods

Yesterday Daddy took us all on a short trip into our back woods to learn some fun survival skills.
The kids all brought their survival bags (you know, the backpacks full of survival gear that we would probably not have on us if we really needed it), and we walked out back to our woods.  We found a cozy little spot that seemed fairly covered and got a good start on a shelter.  Then we made a small fire without using matches or a lighter.
The kids learned a lot and had a really fun time too. We, of course, saw a lot of deer tracks (and other deer evidences).  The boys were hoping to find some antler drops, but we never did.
I love when hubby is home and the kids get to have fun learning with him.  He invests so much into our children and I am so grateful for that!
