Evan's Giraffes

Evan loves giraffes.  Today while we were running errands I went into Kohls to use a giftcard that I had, and their $5 stuffed animals were Dr. Suess Giraffes.  Evan really battled with whether or not he should buy one.  He still has birthday money but wants to have some money when we go on a mini vacation next week.  He couldn't pass up another giraffe to add to his collection, though.  Of course I tried to make it a learning experience about choices.  We established from the get-go that he didn't need the giraffe, but if he wanted another giraffe he would just have $5 less for spending on vacation.

See that bright giraffe that sticks out like a sore thumb (belowe)?  Yep, that's the new guy!  He gave him a few good squeezes in the store as he struggled to decide.  A couple of ladies giggled at him as they were in line waiting to pay for their purchases.  Yeah, he looked pretty cute.

At home he lined up all his giraffes and we got a picture.  Poor Gus (the tallest one) no longer has eyes because Ellie chewed them both off.  That was a devastating day! Gus is special... from the Philadelphia Zoo in Pennsylvania!  And the smallest giraffe in the group is from when Evan was just a newborn baby... it used to play a lullaby.
Well, that's all.  Just a post about Evan and his giraffes ♡
