Last week was a fun school week with lots of projects! This year our morning subjects are done together for the most part. We cover Bible & Prayer, Science, History and French before lunch time. In the afternoon the kids work on all their individual subjects (Language Arts, Arithmetic, Reading, and so on...)
This has been a good schedule for us this year. Sometimes due to schedule conflicts we may switch it around and do individual subjects in the morning.
This week we had fun with learning the phases of the moon with Oreos (of course the kids got to eat them after so they enjoyed it)! They made constellations from toothpicks and marshmallows, we read different accounts in the Bible about constellations and the kids found that to be fun, too.
We just started learning about Pearl Harbor and the kids are very intrigued by the book we're reading aloud as a group.
They're picking up nicely on their French, too... as we hope this summer to go to Coaticook, Quebec Canada to help a missionary family we know in starting a new church!
Looking forward to another good school week beginning tomorrow.
